Derek Walton – Executive Chef

Cranberry Cove Wellness Resort executive chef, Derek Walton brings a history of excellence to the resort’s outstanding restaurants.  He has provided memorable dining experiences to guests locally at the Moon River Lookout and the Compleat Angler and at such world class properties as four diamond resort Benmiller Inn and the Millcroft Inn.  Chef Derek has also worked in the Pacific Northwest and possesses a wealth of experience in product selection, butchery, plate composition and sauces.  He also possesses a strong knowledge of fusion and ethnic cooking.

Professionally trained in France, spa chef, Christophe Delamarre brings his award-winning cuisine to Cranberry Cove Wellness Resort.  Chef Christophe has drawn on his experiences from well-known spas and wellness resorts such as Grail Springs (Bancroft), Domain of Killien (Haliburton) and Aerie Resort and Spa (BC).  He introduces guests to alkaline menus that are the basis for his detox programs and offers his creations to those who follow vegan and vegetarian diets or have dietary restrictions and food sensitivities whether guests are staying for 5, 7 day experiences, longer retreats or just stopping in to enjoy dinner.

For groups we can put together a special menu and host the group in one of our private rooms.  The Orville Johnston Room is perfect for groups up to 100 and the Muskoka Room accommodates 30-40 for your special function.
